From the Archive to the Wall

Our mission is to discover magazines that were elaborately designed decades ago, and then, professionally framed, to comprehensively protect, preserve and present them.

Every work is an original and a contemporary witness of the past:

FRAMED selected art invites you on a fantastic journey into the past. With advertisements and wanted ads, fashion icons, female and male role models from a different era. Slightly discoloured or faded, featuring tears and stains and occasionally even personal notes.

More than framed:

At first glance a beautifully designed cover in a classic, tailormade frame with passepartout. As a picture on the wall it is not visible that the item in the frame is a complete magazine that can be taken out and looked at any time. An incomparable aesthetic on the wall. The unusual frames are easy to open and, thanks to the magnetic mechanism, just as easy to close again.

We love vintage:

Anna Klöck, art lover and collector, and Celia Koesfeld-Fanselow, former director at Galerie Karsten Greve, have set themselves the task of discovering items that were artistically made at the time of their production, choosing them with expertise and displaying them in a completely new way.
